Stroman

Can we get this guy more touches? He seems like a mismatch for opponents and with KRob and Davis out there too any more so.

I'd like to see him have a breakout game soon, I think he's close.

He is a physical speciman for sure. He could fight for better positioning while the ball is in the air...From what I've seen this season he either allows the defender to push him around or he goes for the PI.

If he played like he played on that catch against UNC he'd be a force to rekon with.

I would like to see him get more touches as well. I really like Joey's throws in the intermediate range and think we should use those a lot more. It gives our guys a chance for some big plays with yards after the catch. I know we have to keep defenses honest and occasionally stretch the field but those deep 50/50 balls aren't having nearly a 50/50 success rate and it puts us behind the chains on the next down. We need to get the ball to our playmakers in space so they can make the plays.

Agreed on the the “too easily pushed off his routes” observation. Needs to run more precise routes, too. Otherwise, could be a heck of a receiver.

Hands like Sutton. App needs to get more intermediate routes. Seems to be improving with unc and WYO as there severe square outs to him. Just my opinion, our two QBs do not have arm strength to make the down field field throws like Brice. Part of reason that worked better with Brice is the ball got down field so quickly the DBs were still trying to get in position and the ball was already there..one of two things need to happen to be more successful in my opinion....our QBs need to release ball earlier...or WRs need to not show hand as early One great trait is that Sutton had was ability to not show hands until ball was very near to be caught.

Stroman said in an interview that he's 6'5" with a 40 in vert. App and ESPN has him at 6'4". That either makes him bigger or the same height as Brian Quick. Now Quick was listed as having a 34" vertical.... so in theory.... Stroman would be taller/same size and jump higher. Not sure if he exaggerated on the vert as I can't find that listed. If its true then we need to figure something out.
