Southern Miss fan from Colorado - Tailgating options
Hi guys. We make an annual trip from Colorado and Washington to a Southern Miss away game. Certainly not expecting much from the game this year as we are as bad as we've ever been. Hoping that the play-calling shift will give some sort of spark. There's 5 of us total that are coming in and hoping to find a decent place to tail-gate or just find some good fans. We're always willing to contribute to the tailgate but thought I would try here before just going bar hopping.

Hi, I split out your post into a new topic and should get you more attention and suggestions. I'd help but I won't be up there until late due to kids soccer so I'll just be grabbing some food at a restaurant in downtown (hoping the line isn't too long).
Safe travels and enjoy your visit. We may compete on the suck level though.

My tailgate group has sucked as of late, but you are welcome to come by and hang out.

The way we are playing, ya'll can win by at least a touchdown. You should have a great time in Boone. You'll love the scenery and most tailgates should be hospitable. Parking is at a premium already and being that its homecoming....good luck there! I don't tailgate any but there are a ton on here that do. You shouldn't have issues finding someone to help out. Enjoy the trip.ColoradoSouthernMiss wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 9:33 amHi guys. We make an annual trip from Colorado and Washington to a Southern Miss away game. Since you're from Colorado and all, perhaps you can help us: Is Boone the Denver of the East?

I've never understood his handle. Boone is nothing like Denver. Asheville or even Charlotte are closer than Boone.

What kind of crew do you have with you? I see you mention 5 people but would you be willing to hit a few spots or are you looking to settle in one area? Looks like I'm solo for this weekend's game. Without the wife and kid I like to walk around and see a few people I know in different spots. You're 100% invited to join me for as long or as short as you'd like. My parking spot is in JET lot which is directly beside the Convocation Center (basketball arena).ColoradoSouthernMiss wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 9:33 amHi guys. Try the new Mountaineer lot overlooking the stadium's west entrance. We have lots of great hospitable tailgators who would love to have you stop by. Great music also.

You are welcome to join our tailgate. We will have one Southern Miss fan with us and I'm sure she wouldn't mind the company! haha

I don’t know much about Denver, except it’s the City by the Bay and John Denver.

I know a lot about Denver, Denver of the East! Great small little place outside Lake Norman on Highway 16 from CLT to Jefferson. Fly to CLT take HWY 16 make a left on 421 and Boone is 28 miles west.
