Win percentage, bowl eligible teams, S&P+ averages, Massey Averages, Colley Matrix Averages, about 17 other computer rankings systems I use to bet all say the same thing.

Sun Belt is the consensus tip G5 conference and the Sun Belt East is actually closer to the lowest P5 than to the AAC in most systems. Furthermore, the Sun Belt is the only G5 conference over .500 in FBS v. FBS match-ups.

Is that good enough for you? Lol. SMU's best wins are Tulane and Memphis. Tulane's best wins are Memphis and UTSA. Pretty sure those are their only wins over teams with .500 or better records. Maybe they have one more. Meanwhile App beat 6, including the 24th ranked team. Troy beat 9.

My point is take your Yosef colored glasses off. We are 8-5. We had a great turnaround but we are in absolutely no position to be referring to any opponent as a “downgrade”.

Ohio, 9-3, beat Iowa State. If we think that’ll be a waltz because it’s the MAC, we are in for a rude awakening.

Look at App's out of conference games compared to JMU, Liberty, etc. and let me know how they compare.

You have a very low bar for App State football. At 8-4 it was a great turnaround from the horendous 3-4 start...

But 8-5 at App State is horrible. Obviously it wont happen...but shawn clark should still be fired.

This is a calamity. We should want the weakest bowl opponent possible because we are week.

Nobody should beat us like Troy did. But Shawn Clark specializes in this. We lost to louisiana like that in 2021...then to Western Kentucky in a bowl...now troy in a conference title game.
