Are we giving up a home game for this one?

We get to beat up on them on their 'home turf'. It will be essentially a home game for us as well.

Who is the home team in this one? Would we make more money by giving up a home game?

There will probably be another game (P5) there on Saturday night like there was when we played ECU on Thursday.

Already have NC State and Toledo at home on the OOC slate, so don't think this gives anything up. Bigger question is do we find a FCS school for the 4th OOC game or maybe work in a new future home and home series with our away leg scheduled for 2025

FAU and WKU need a home game in 2025.

As a fan, I like the home and home series with another G5 program. From a coaching standpoint, I could see the staff looking at an FCS program, which would give us 7 home games.

sign me up on the side of the coaches, the schedule is hard enough. Get some young guys experience, work out the kinks, get the dub. Fans will show out that time of year regardless.

We have played UNCC twice in a row at home. Is this not an away game for us? We will probably have more fans, but wondering what side we will sit on.

Find us an FCS opponent…for many reasons.

Hope we are the away team. Charlotte (not the university) will be the one to benefit from this game. Hotel stays and eating will bring in tons of money to Charlotte, not Boone. Let us be the away team (but like a home game for us).

This is a big old MEH.

Hate to say it but I suspect the crowd will be dismal for this at BOA. We had a pretty solid showing of 37k for ECU but we’ve both got great fanbases with massive amounts of alumni in Charlotte. I bet this is sub 30k.

Brett Mcmurphy tweeted the announcement and the replies are all pretty brutal regarding the matchup. Which is pretty rare for a game with us in it.

It’d be cool if we go the FCS route to get an old foe, like WCU, Elon, Wofford or Furman. Maybe even Richmond or SC State.

I love this but they are going to gouge the App fans for this one. I hope we are getting our ticket sales.

We'd all love a better opponent, but to find some optimism about the situation...

Game will be Thursday, televised for a national audience and not just those subscribed to ESPN +. If UNCC is still not the greatest, it will give the team a chance to work out some things hopefully without the threat of a loss. Couple extra days of rest before hosting NC State the following week.

My only hope is every App fan in the country shows up so the stadium doesn't look barren. Otherwise looking forward to our guys kicking their asses.
