Their Defense has adjusted to take away pass. We have to run some to keep them honest. We were able to catch them on the opening drive. Haven't been able to since.
Guys, this defense is too good to just throw it every play. Any successful offense HAS to run some in between the passes ... two straight incomplete passes forces 3 & longs which just show are not in our favor. Have to run some on 1st & 2nd.

It doesn't have to be "runs", quick out routes to flat etc work all the same. We aren't even using the runs to set up play action. If all runs are up the middle and passes are slow developing, we aren't really doing our selves any favors.

third and short is a great time for a pass to the TE out of run formation. We have done that some but 0-3 today.

Pounding the run game pays dividends in a lot of ways later in the game. Maybe we haven’t done it enough. Opposite thoughts of most.
