It became obvious last year,as I stated then , you build a roster anew each season.

Sorry to hear this. I had heard that he might have been the best passer on the roster but not as mobile. Hope he ends up somewhere that his skills fit the plan better.

Our coaches have done several things right but we have struggled in getting good QBs out out of high school so I hope that is something we see improvement on going forward. If we can get a player like Aguilar out of high school then that will be huge in helping us avoid having to dip into the portal for one.

Just to play devil's advocate a bit, we did have a QB like Joey out of high school who was the opening starter but he broke his finger and missed the year. We missed on QBs to follow Zac Thomas but I wouldn't call Burger a miss in the same sense. More of an unfortunate circumstance that worked out for us. However, I do agree it puts a lot of pressure on us to find a HS QB who can development now.

We signed the kid out of Rock Hill but I wouldn’t count on him being ready.

Wright (Texas kid) has 2 and Wilson is here in Spring ball. You also Mehan committee as of now for 2025. After watching the backups a couple of weeks ago, let’s hope Joey stays healthy.

He played well against us last year. Former starter, I like it. Nicely fills the void left by the Texas kid.

Honestly, with his experience, probably an upgrade.

That’s how I look at it. For what we needed in the role as QB2 this year, I’m not sure that we could have done better.

I realize that his stats aren’t great, but you have to consider what he was playing with. Something else to think about is that he walked on to the Clemson team and earned a scholarship. That says a lot about him.
