Re: September 7, 2024
If I knew we were going to win I still would not go to this game. I went last time we played in that hole and it was the worst experience I ever had at a football game. It was hot as hell and I was frankly surprised how red neck the crowd was. I had to threaten to smack the idiot behind me for kicking my wife in the back. That is the Chapel Hill of football as far as I am concerned. I’ll be sitting in my mountain home watching this one. Go APP!!

Funny how we can all have different experiences in the same venue. I had a nice chat with a parent of a former player on the way in. The weather was pretty pleasant for a September afternoon and a bit overcast in I am remembering correctly.

Except for losing the game me and my crowd had a great time at the last Clemson game. We went out in Greenville the night before and didn’t encounter any obnoxious fans and the Clemson fans we ran into at the tailgate treated us really good. We’re planning on going back this year.

Re: September 7, 2024
I got about 10 of us student tickets in 2015 and we wore Gold in the middle of the student section. It was pretty hot but we won the tailgate. Friars had the best frozen slushees, forgot what they were called. That bar isn’t there anymore but plenty of options for us to take over Tigertown.
I’ll be there, lake house booked! In-Laws and Wife are Tiger grads, going to be a long weekend for them.

Re: September 7, 2024
Last time we played Clemson, some of their students wanted to play us in beer pong. I've only played a few times ever, but us early 50 years olds (at the time) whooped up on their candy a$$e$!!!! Haha.

Re: September 7, 2024
We went down while in school to the '97 game and felt like I was going to die from the heat. The vodka and grape juice I started at before 8am probably had something to do with that.AppState89 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 8:49 amLast time we played Clemson, some of their students wanted to play us in beer pong. We tailgated with them in the motor home section. Had a good time. Not going back but had no problems.

Re: September 7, 2024
Funny you mentioned that. Similar thing happened to us (30s and 40s) with corn hole. They talked trash to us and we walked away with a 21-0 winAppState89 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 8:49 amLast time we played Clemson, some of their students wanted to play us in beer pong. Re: September 7, 2024
I really don't know how this generally works. Are the tickets we see on Vivid some being sold by Clemson season ticket owners? Some lower level are over $200ish right now

Correct. Don't buy them until the university releases them.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 11:36 amI really don't know how this generally works. Are the tickets we see on Vivid some being sold by Clemson season ticket owners? Some lower level are over $200ish right now

Re: September 7, 2024
In my opinion Clemson has fallen back to earth. I'll put them in the Wake, State and UNC category.
You all know what that could mean on any particular Saturday!

Re: September 7, 2024
Like Wake Forest, that dodged us in Covid year and rescheduled Camels when we were a in state SCHEDULED team the ACC accepted.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2024 9:19 amKudos to Clemson for continuing to schedule us. They know a loss to App would torpedo their season and they still play us. This is what true competitors do. If you're gonna talk the talk then you better walk that walk.
I wish other regional programs would be like Clemson.
We've got a great team this year and it's gonna be a great game. Go App!
