In that simulation, App lost 2 regular season games. Guessing Clemson was one, wonder who the other was, but glad they gave us a bye with 2 losses, lolz!!

Not sure what the parameters were for the byes. Regardless it was good coverage on Fox Sports and not meant to be taken seriously....

Not to be taken seriously? I expect a banner in KBS before the season starts. :D

If we do not at least get a bye in the playoffs then the season is a failure.

So SMU won the ACC, but was not ranked. The top 4 byes go to the top 4 ranked conference champions. App was ranked 19 and the 4th top ranked conference champion

I love the simluations b/c it takes into account wins and loss's and doesn't factor in the human bias of "big program prestige".

If the games sees a team lose enough games it doesn't care who they are and eliminates them.

Hypothetically speaking...if we did play UGA in Atlanta for the title could we even sell our allotment of tickets? Mercedes Benz Stadium holds 71k...so if we're allotted 35.5k could we put that many ppl in Black and Gold in the stands?

With it being a drivable location I'm going to say yes we could but it could be close. Every student who wants a ticket gets one, every other fan/alumni plus a spouse then we get there.

Last line of artilce: "We can only hope for such chaos as college football begins a new era in 2024."

Yes we can with that outcome with all the mention of App State winning the Natty.

Coming back to our two losses, seeing as Western Kentucky beat out Liberty in Conference USA, my guess is we had a close loss to Clemson, won our next 9, including a blowout win over Liberty and destroying any hope for representation in the playoffs. We climbed to a ranking in the 10-15 range after 9 straight convincing wins but lost to GaSo, however we win championship game and end at 19.

I'm out on the #13 scenario then. We don't lose to Southern.

Losing to them is a sign of how great our team is that year. We only lose when we are amazing.
