EKU off 2025 schedule

Marshall just announced they're playing EKU on the same day App had them scheduled, Sept. 13, 2025.

So speculate away on the new 2025 opponent. Or if you brag about being in the know, drop cryptic hints that you know but won't say.

My people tell me that if you liked the UNC series, you'll be pleased with this...all I can say right now is I'm thankful we're already in the south...it doesn't "always" rain in Boone that time of year, but the other team will certainly be in for a surprise. But keep an eye on the KBS construction (renderings and timelines), and it'll be pretty plain and obvious who's coming to Boone for a not so pleasant payday.

I’ll be dammed. Start checking the schedules!

Hope QB Sanders and WR Hunter aren't back next year.

There is no way they will be. The only question for me is if Deion Sanders will be back at Colorado next year.

EKU may be fielding 2 teams or a split squad. Great depth.

I wouldn’t worry about them. After Sanders threw his OL under the bus, I don’t know if anyone will want to block for him any more

Colorado is a sideshow with a prima donna coach and QB.

If the future opponent plays in Boone for a night game, that would be golden.

Colorado is a sideshow with a prima donna coach and QB.
But they have a legitimate top draft prospect at QB who is literally carrying that team. Without Sanders, any of the three of them, they are a 1 win team.

I’m probably in the minority in that I kind of enjoy Deion and think by and large he’s helped Colorado because they were beyond an afterthought before his hiring.

That said I also think Shadeur is a solid college qb and an incoming NFL bust of the highest level. His arm is weak and makes poor decisions but some NFL team (please God not the Panthers) will make the mistake of taking him in the 1st and he will be Zach Wilson within 2 seasons.

He will come with a dad who will get involved with the draft decisions and will think his son should go to an immediate contender and will believe his son should start immediately and will be in the news constantly.

True but let’s remember Arch Manning strong armed Eli to the Giants instead of letting him stay with the Chargers. And Arch ended up being right, Eli will be a HOFer and is 2-time SB Champion. Doubt that happens in San Diego (now LA).

Deion isn’t the first influential football father and he won’t be the last.

Shadeurs arm is weak? Bro throws 50 yards on a frozen rope on the run.

He has at best an above average arm for a college qb. Almost every draft prospectus you’ll see on him says the same.

I may well be wrong and he will be a superstar, but the NFL requires you to either be freakishly athletic like Lamar Jackson/Anthony Richardson or deadly accurate like Mahomes or Dak.

I see neither from Sanders. But time will tell.

I don’t understand where this cryptic thread is going. Are we replacing Colorado at home with EKU? I get we need 47 back and forth goofy takes but what is the deal?

SORRY Bigdaddyg1. Apologies for the goofy takes.
