Re: Pro Day 2025
Robinson was told by App that he would not get a year by the NCAA but he would not listen and thought he could force it. He wanted to get paid and go P4. UCLA would have had way more scouts at Pro Day but he did not participate in their workout. I wonder if they told him no or if he was even out there yet?biggie wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 9:12 amOh hadn't seen that.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 9:10 amHe was not approved by NCAA for an additional year I believebiggie wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 9:09 amRobinson doing pro day and not transferring?

Re: Pro Day 2025
I don't know if he is technically in class at UCLA or not. I just know he is going all in on trying to make it in the NFL. I wonder why he would come to App though. Someone said as of last week we did not fully know who all would be at our Pro Day so I wonder if he tried to workout at UCLA but was denied by the school or NFL? Working out at UCLA would have been way better for him because I would expect us to have way less scouts than UCLA had.biggie wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 9:21 amIs he still transferring even though he can't play?AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 9:19 amRobinson was told by App that he would not get a year by the NCAA but he would not listen and thought he could force it. Can he even work out? 5 months post ACL surgery... seems risky.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 9:29 amI don't know if he is technically in class at UCLA or not. Re: Pro Day 2025
This is true about the waiver. App can be strict sometimes but we go by the book. It was straightforward that he had already used his total years of eligibility according to the waiver but he tried anyways. I hope Robinson got paid something for his sake.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 9:19 amRobinson was told by App that he would not get a year by the NCAA but he would not listen and thought he could force it. UCLA announced their Pro Day attendees on 3/13 for a pro day on 3/17. Robinson announced his waiver denial on 3/14. It’s possible it was just too short of a turnaround to be at UCLA or that he was not even out there as you said, waiting for the waiver (which seems likely).
I am glad that App is allowing him to participate but I am not sure what he will be able to do physically.

Re: Pro Day 2025
That is why I said participate and not work out. I don't think he would do more than measure, interview, and maybe bench press but doing that in front of every team with some GMs there is better than the lighter crowd we will get. My guess is that the NFL told him he could not do that and so we are the only chance he would get to even be seen. The only reason we might get decent attendance this year is because NC State, UNC, Clemson, South Carolina, etc have already gone.311neers wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 10:18 amCan he even work out? 5 months post ACL surgery... seems risky.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 9:29 amI don't know if he is technically in class at UCLA or not. Re: Pro Day 2025
Schools have added players late before so I don't think that was the only reason. I figured he was either not out there or the NFL told him he could not attend.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 10:56 amThis is true about the waiver. I was surprised he did not listen to our staff and just prepare or Pro Day while he waited to hear. He possible could have entered the portal and probably had a higher value in the May portal window.
To your comment on what he can do physically. I will be interested to see what all he does. My guess is just measure and do interviews but perhaps he is able to bench press?

Re: Pro Day 2025
I am going to be curious to see the results on our top 4- Robinson, Wilson, Hughes, and Marshall. Seth Robertson apparently had a 38-inch vertical jump. If his overall workout is really good then could get a chance as well. Johnstone might get a shot as well. Horn can run and Fletcher looks the part. I will be curious to see all of their numbers. I thought most of our guys could work their way into a tryout with a good workout but not more than a couple who could make a roster or practice squad.

We knew he has a leg. If he can be consistent he could end up playing pro ball somewhere.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 11:37 amHughes hit from 63 yards at pro day I noticed posted on X.

Re: Pro Day 2025
I could see him getting a tryout. I will be curious to see what he runs. Long snapper is a hard spot to make it in the NFL because there are so few spots and it appears this is a pretty good long snapper class.

Re: Pro Day 2025
That is good. I am guessing these were ideal conditions today? A game is much different but having a perfect day today can be the difference in a contract, tryout, or not getting a call.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 12:37 pmWas 13 for 13AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 12:28 pmWe knew he has a leg. Any idea how many NFL teams showed up today? I would be surprised if we had more than 20 and would not be shocked if the total was around 10.
