Clark and some players wore Jumpman branded App gear to Mountaineer Talk last fall.
That's the play, if allowed. Instead of one item (what the coach is wearing during the game), open more items, like Jumpman, a few weeks or so after the team has access. Could be a another revenue stream. If the pictured shirt above did not have the stripes, I would have purchased it if available..
He did several times, he said “latch”.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 9:31 pmWhy can't he pronounce our school name correctly?appdaze wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 6:51 pmThe dragon slayers.

I heard it a couple times but the fact he could not be consistent and said it incorrectly several times is just disrespectful and lazy. Gruden has a lot of issues and I am not sure why our athletic department saw fit to send him gear. He has schools fooled into giving him free swag and there is no benefit to it. I am not mad at him but more disappointed in the schools for it.
Or offer them to Yosef Club members only.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 6:55 amThat's the play, if allowed. Some of the shirts we see during workouts with team slogan for the year, etc. I think fans would get into that. Makes them feel closer and more a part of the team. Just my opinion if allowed to sell those items to public.
This has been a big missed opportunity for several years.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 12:53 pmOr offer them to Yosef Club members only.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 6:55 amThat's the play, if allowed. There are a lot of low hanging fruit opportunities like this one. Dollars aren’t necessarily big, but it could help grow the donor funnel and generate excitement across the fanbase.JTApps1 wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 1:15 pmThis has been a big missed opportunity for several years.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 12:53 pmOr offer them to Yosef Club members only.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 6:55 amThat's the play, if allowed. When one has nothing but disdain for the fans, one never considers these possibilities. Our athletic department has consistently shown that thinking of the fans is not something they prioritize.Bootsy wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 1:18 pmThere are a lot of low hanging fruit opportunities like this one. I would love to hear the legal reason from them why we could not sell shirts with slogans like the players wear during workouts. I agree with others that people would buy them for sure. It would be nice if the marketing department came up with these low hanging fruit ideas instead of us having to. I have never heard of a school with as many reasons and excuses for not doing things as people in Boone have.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 7:46 amIt’s a great idea and I’m sure that there would be some interest. Has anyone broached this suggestion to Doug in an email, or in person? Now that Athletics is running Yosef’s locker, it might be somewhat possible. As for the Jumpman merchandise, it may be provided to football with the understanding that they can’t resell it. One thing that I’ve learned from talking to athletics is that brand licensing isn’t a simple process as slap an A on it and make a buck.
I think that the best option to satisfy your curiosity is to ask someone that would have not only insights, but also someone that you trust. If you don’t believe the source then you won’t buy the answer. You have sources within the athletic department, ask them. I’ve sent Sara Strickland ideas for products that could sell if App branded. Those ideas have to go through both legal and licensing so it’s not an easy process. There are a lot of licensing and contract land mines that have to be navigated. There are also trademark costs and limitations.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 8:37 amI would love to hear the legal reason from them why we could not sell shirts with slogans like the players wear during workouts.
