Realistically, somewhere between 6-6 and 9-3.

I feel like your expectations here are fair. When I go by game I have us at 8-4 but I feel like we lose a game that surprises us and we go 7-5 as well. I think our floor is 6-6 and ceiling is 9-3.

Currently agree on this. But right now UNCC and ODU is a toss up to me.

7-5 is my prediction, 5-3 in conference.
Losses - Boise, Oregon St, USM, ODU, JMU
Finish 2nd in East behind JMU (6-2) but ahead of Georgia Southern (5-3) due to tie breaker.

A depressing picture would be, say the last 30 seasons on a bell curve. Hard to believe we have come back down to having concerns about UNCC and ODU. Ouch

I had 8-4 and then revised the Oregon St. game.
I am torn on that game as well. It would not surprise me either way but we should have a good idea after the Boise State game on what to expect. It is just so hard now. We might get blown out or beat them by 30 but like we have all said we don't know enough to have a firm opinion yet.

It’s just difficult to project right now. We could still have a really good team if it comes together.

A huge indictment on the previous coaching staff and support to show how we have fallen but there is so much turnover that we have a lot of unknowns on our end. I feel like we have better athletes than ODU and Charlotte but I just don't know for sure until we see the teams play. Charlotte brought in over 35 transfers and a new coach so I do expect them to be better but they will likely need time to gel as well.

This is what I'm thinking as well. However, between others getting better and all the questions with App, almost none of these Ws are "gimmes." Other folks picking Southern Miss as a loss, but I'm more concerned about Ark State. They were decent- won a bowl game- last year, and they return a lot of guys.

Important for uncc is hey brought in a real actual football coach. Not a cheerleader, not a sleeveless financial advisor.

none of us know because of all the turnover, some schools have had nice upside by transferring in talent, which we have a big number of them. Without a game being played, our new coach and staff is a nice step forward. I'm looking for a winning season and a bowl
