Arkansas State should have beat Louisiana last Thursday. There's an argument the refs screwed them on the final play by blowing the whistle too early, but they put themselves in that position with turnovers and clock mismanagement (Butch left a timeout to take to the bar).

Red Wolves fans are tired of Butch. Several mediocre seasons in a row, which was not their standard in the 2010s (sound familiar). The West has opened up late this season and they blundered their chance to be in the race.

They're 5-6 just like App and need the win to go to a bowl.

This is the one game that I felt we could win out of our final 3. I am hoping that the fire we saw during the Marshall game continues into this game. How big of a boost would it be to win this game and get bowl eligible? I mean, outside of playing for a conference title, this has to put some fire in the team.

Dubinion re-aggravated his shoulder on the first play. I think he came in as a decoy on one other play. If he’s out there, he’s a tough young man.
