Dumbest thing we can do is take this. Just decline it and move on.

What are you talking about? Teams playing in bowl games get 20 hours of practice time per week leading up to their bowl. Why in the world would we ever decline 60 additional practice hours?

Throw some new guys in who were hungry but didn't get much playing time - tryouts for early roster development. Also...are there financial incentives?TheMackAttack wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:46 pmWhat are you talking about? If we are going to play we better win. I can't take anymore embarrassments like we had against Arkansas State. I was looking forward to 2026 but now this nightmare of a season continues. Only way to not make this worse is to win.coachprouty wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:52 pmThrow some new guys in who were hungry but didn't get much playing time - tryouts for early roster development. Normally I agree on the extra practice time, but I think our coaches hitting the recruting trail (in house as well) may be more important this year.

So what does it tell recruits that our team won’t play every game possible?

Im not agianst the game like others, just comenting that the recruiting game has changed and this new staff seemes to be making some strides with our class.
I am blown away that I came to turn my computer off and go to bed only to find out we are going bowling, crazy

Our 26 class is signed, and pretty sure that December is now a quiet period with no officials or contact allowed. All they can do is scour the transfer portal but that doesn't even open until Jan 2. It isn't like they don't recruit and coach at the same time during the season, this is nothing new.
