It’s the August issue. It hasn’t hit the newsstands yet. The July issues are currently in stores.

Thanks for the heads up. I looked for it at Publix today and noticed it was a different issue.

Sure thing. My wife sent me out on a mission to find one. Barnes and Nobles had a different edition for sale. That’s when I looked at the two covers.

It only makes sense that App State is on the cover when talking about college towns. Of the remaining schools, only 2 are really college towns (1 if you don't count Durham which barely makes it in my opinion) and the rest of cities that happen to have a college in them. Boone is the very definition of a college town.

Boone is a college town that is also a resort town. A unique combination. Which other FBS school in North Carolina would you consider is in a college town.

Funny thing: KBS was on the cover, but the inside “vintage sports” photo of App was cheerleaders on the sideline at WF before they built LJVM

Chapel Hill and Durham but the second one is on the close to not being one in my mind.

Yes, Boone used to be a college town, but now serves as a regional tourist/second home hub as much as a college town.

Boone is very much a college town. Yes, it’s a resort town, as well, but I, and many fellow alumni, resort in Boone all parts of the year.

Typically up there 2 to 3 times outside of football season.. it's my happy space

I’m always excited about being on a magazine cover. Our State is read by a LOT of people in our area.

probably not...I hope the frame I ordered will hold it....it said it was magazine displays....we'll see Friday

It is a lot more fun to go through life being excited about everything than putting conditions on what excites you.
