Interesting Stat From Last Night's Detroit/New England Game:

Lions rookie punter Sam Martin had a 57-yard boot late in the first half that landed at the 5 before making an abrupt left turn and dribbling out of bounds inside the 1.

Seems Sam is "getting er done"

Ive been reading the Detroit message boards, and Martin has been better than advertised, he has had a great camp, and is a lock for the starting punter. At the beginning of camp some fans were complaining about using a draft pick on a punter, now they are talking about it being the smartest pick of their draft, and they have their punter for the next 10 years.

Its great to see him doing so well, if he locks that job up he will have NFL security for years to come.
