What type of cable is required to pull up the game on the internet (ESPN3) and run it to your TV?

If you have a laptop with an HDMI cable, that is the easiest and the way I do it.Appsolutely wrote:What type of cable is required to pull up the game on the internet (ESPN3) and run it to your TV?
I have a desktop, but I guess that doesn't matter if the cable is long enough. And (forgive my stupidity, please) does it go into the cable box or straight into the TV?ASUMountaineer wrote:If you have a laptop with an HDMI cable, that is the easiest and the way I do it.Appsolutely wrote:What type of cable is required to pull up the game on the internet (ESPN3) and run it to your TV?
Yes...appreciate the help, guys.appbio91 wrote:If you have an LCD TV it probably has a serial port just like a computer moniter. So a serial cable with an audio cable. Easy to get at best buy. You might have to buy the audio cable seperate but they are cheap. It has male connections on each end like an ipod ear bud jack. If you have a newer laptop and newer TV they probably have HDMI ports so one HDMI cable would carry audio and video. Hope that helps.
HDMI would go straight into the TV. appbio91 gave you all the information you should need. Good luck!Appsolutely wrote:I have a desktop, but I guess that doesn't matter if the cable is long enough. this is by far the best method if you have the meansBlackangold4 wrote:Also if you have an xbox with xbox live you can watch ESPN3 through that too.
From what I understand a RoKu isn't compatible with ESPN3.Yosef wrote:Spend $50 and get a roku. Simple to use and works great. Doesnt require a separate subscription (like xbox live) nor does it require a computer.
You can use the Roku with the Plex Media Server and App to view it.JTApps1 wrote:From what I understand a RoKu isn't compatible with ESPN3.Yosef wrote:Spend $50 and get a roku. Simple to use and works great. Doesnt require a separate subscription (like xbox live) nor does it require a computer.

I think you mean a VGA cable, not a serial cable.appbio91 wrote:If you have an LCD TV it probably has a serial port just like a computer moniter. So a serial cable with an audio cable. Apple Tv is the best $100 I ever spent. With couchtuner.eu and espn3 there is always something to watch.AppDawg wrote:JTApps1 wrote:From what I understand a RoKu isn't compatible with ESPN3.Yosef wrote:Spend $50 and get a roku.
