Kind of reminds me of AE the way he moves.

Hope we can block for him over his career. We are really undersized up front compared to our last 2 opponents that beat us.

I am all for getting some beef up front. I do what to point out, however, that during our championship run we were generally undersized compared to the Gateway (now MVC) and Big Sky teams that we played. We seem to have lost some of the movement / misdirection that allowed that formula to work. I'm no OL coach, so I'm not going to try to analyze the details but just pointing out size difference doesn't necessarily mean much.

I can't remember the whole line the years we were stomping ppl. I do remember Kerry brown, bieschke and suttle. And Bettis at tight end. All those guys were huge. We don't have that size anymore.

Actually we do. It's just that they are all true and RS freshmen and sophomors (2 Fr over 300, 1 Fr and 1 So over 290, 4 additional Fr 6-3 or taller-between 270 and 290/have the frame but need time to bulk up). It's going to take some time to get them up to college speed. One game isn't going to do it. By mid season I would expect to see some of them breaking into the rotation on a regular basis.

Got ya. If I was qb I'd rather be behind some hosses that can move pretty good than 250 pounders that can't

Oh I agree. The biggest problem we had last night is that Montana's D-line was full of experience and freshmen in their first game tend to make mistakes against DE's like the Griz have. They will get their game on with a little time to adjust to the college speed. Until then I think Satt needs to call more roll outs and quick screens to keep D lines from pinning their ears back. Make them think a little and you get just a second or two more time. Plus go man on man and lets the backs pick holes instead of trying complex blocking schemes where assigment mistakes are more common. It's not an ideal solution but it does give you some time to get these young players more experience. They will get better with each and every game they play in.

Kerry Brown was a big'un. Scott Suttle was listed at 260. Although I think he was probably bigger than that in later years, he was never a huge OL. Size was NOT the reason he was good. That is precisely the point I was making.
