ECU Game Ball Thread

Unread post by Black Saturday » Mon Sep 03, 2012 7:01 pm

Who is gonna do that thread? I'm sure many of us found it enjoyable. Hope LAST YEARS MOD WILL CONTINUE. Not looking to steal anyones fun, just realized one hadn't appeared.

Even though we didn't get the win, I'll cast my vote for the new O line coach Dwayne Ledford. I really think we were all relieved by the results considering the performance throughout last year. He's done a good job so far.

I'd like to give it to all the new assistant coaches, the turn around in attitude and teamwork was visable.

I'm with you, Saint. It seems like there's a whole new attitude on the mountain these days. That kind of change starts with the coaches ... all of them.

All of the Coaches deserve the first game ball. Our TEAM was well prepared and ready to play. Some execution problems that can easily be corrected. Back-ups played admirably when in the game!!! Love T Washington...he is a game changer!!! Frosh WR Jones will be a star if he keeps developing...wow...lots of great young talent!!!

"Freshman Game Ball of the Week" has to go to Malachi Jones. I have a feeling he's going to find his name in the game ball threads a lot over the next 4 years. Loads of talent.

I agree with all earlier comments about the coaches - however for player of the game my vote goes to #33 - Jeremy Kimbrough - the heart and soul of the defense - played while cramping and still had 13 tackles - maybe we need to set this up in categories each week

Another vote for Coach Ledford.

It could shape up like 2006. Lose at an FBS school late, come back and take over FCS. The best thing about sports is hope springs eternal (except in Cullowhee...it springs once every 30 years there).

I'll give it up for the coaches as well. Other than special teams I thought we looked well coached. We have a young team and fresh, dialed in coaching. It's looking good for the future.

I vote for the young man who lugged that rack of water up and down the stands so our ASU faithful could get a cool drink, The kid made a 100 trips up and down, I hope everybody tipped the kid for his effort. Our band should also get an award for above and beyond...
