parking for tomorrow.

Unread post by Bndonrun » Fri Sep 06, 2013 5:43 pm

It's been three years since I was able to attend a game at App. I was wondering if anybody had suggestions for parking. I have parked in town behind the post office, not my favorite spot. I like the church diagonal across from The Daniel Boone. We will get into town about 4 or 4:30. Thanks for any help from the Mountaineer family!

Getting in that late you may have a little trouble. I usually recommend the Watauga Social Services lot. Follow Rivers St past the stadium. When it takes a hard left becoming Poplar Grove (?) bear right and enter the lot on the left (slightly uphill). I'm not sure how quickly the lot fills. There used to be a shuttle from there to the stadium.

Also, First Baptist on King St right beside the Liberry deck.

I agree. The Social Services lot with shuttle is a good location. And when the game is over you can go N on 421 to 105 bypass and then 105 and avoid King Street altogether.
