What do these people not understand about FBS schools not traveling to FCS schools' venues? By all accounts I've read on Swepson, he seems like a low class jerk anyway, and will most likely be out of a job at the end of the season if not sooner.YesAppCan wrote:Good read WVAPPeer. I got a little different take listening to the weekly teleconference with Swepson... He was asked about continuing the series but pretty much said "... if it is a home-and-home" deal.
Screw em', I don't give a rat's ass if we ever play those chumps again!ASU-FTW wrote:What do these people not understand about FBS schools not traveling to FCS schools' venues? Me either, not one of our longest rivalries or our most competitive.WataugaMan wrote:Screw em', I don't give a rat's ass if we ever play those chumps again!ASU-FTW wrote:What do these people not understand about FBS schools not traveling to FCS schools' venues? Once again, Screw em', I don't give a rat's ass if we ever play those chumps again!YesAppCan wrote:Found out today why Appalachian Alumni/Yosef are not having a tailgate... According to our alumni office, efforts were made by ASU to get a lot and bring in our caterer(s). Elon said 'No, you have to use our food services"... This was going to amount to an approximately $53.00, yes FIFTY-THREE DOLLARS per person tailgate. Obviously ASU wasn't going to do that... So I will enjoymy last visit to Rhodes stadium Saturday night.
They would be better off doing a home and home with Boston College or Duke.....or maybe Notre Dame or Alabama......YesAppCan wrote:Good read WVAPPeer. The writer of this article is who asked the question. I see that the writer did not include Swepson's answers here and Elon AD seems to concede only playing at App(do we play App, Boston College or Duke statement). We will see.
Talked to 74 about this. We've been their biggest home revenue game every other year since the beatings began in '03 and this is how they treat us?YesAppCan wrote:Found out today why Appalachian Alumni/Yosef are not having a tailgate... Let's just be sure to bring more fans to their stadium than they do and beat them soundly ONE LAST TIME.ViewCrew87 wrote:Talked to 74 about this. We've been their biggest home revenue game every other year since the beatings began in '03 and this is how they treat us?

In a way, I'll miss our whipping boys to the east. It was a great home game for our Triangle area alumni.
Yes, Elon is very much in the Triad. Really all of Alamance County, though one could argue about Mebane. You beat me to the correction.ASU-FTW wrote:And Triad!Gonzo wrote:Let's just be sure to bring more fans to their stadium than they do and beat them soundly ONE LAST TIME.ViewCrew87 wrote:Talked to 74 about this.
