I only place it really thinned was the hill, and even that stayed fairly full given the wet and I imagine cold grass. And the band in the endzone was nice. I could hear them at the top of Sec 216.

Now that you wrote that I have to admit that I did not hear them on every play, but neither team went into a huddle and I was thinking the band had backed off playing the short little interludes as much since they are piping in music. But I did hear them some of the game.

They also did a good job with the memorial to the deceased band member.

Two very impressive pieces yesterday - the students stayed until 0:00; the defense ran the length of the student section after the last interception slapping hands and "thanking" the students. That's the kind of positive reinforcement we've needed for a couple of years. It was an Appalachian win all the way 'round.

There was a decent amount of trickling out at the half and third quarter, which I will never understand....smh. But whatever, it doesn't ruin my experience.

My $0.02: Awesome crowd, The 212 was rocking, the student section was phenomenal, and the band in the endzone was far and away a great idea!

Now I have a suggestion for the folks in "the booth:" DO NOT play canned music over the band. It happenend more than once. I think some coordination between the booth and band wouldn't be too hard to figure out.

I agree. It was nowhere near as loud as the GA Southern game last year. Not sure if some had to do with the fact that their offense ran no huddle, not allowing the crowd to get into it as much.

I thought the crowd was great. a real playoff atmosphere. and I could only hear the band sporadically in 204

It sounded like much of the canned PA music stopped when one of the refs talked to an App staff person about something (I assumed it was scoreboard blasting). The PA was playing music between plays at first ... something I can't stand ... and then the scoreboard blasts seemed to stop. I'd much rather hear our band and fans than some canned music between plays.
