Stadium Journey Ranks All FCS Stadiums
Evening all. With all of Stadium Journey's Football reviews for the year now loaded on the site the release of the various ranking lists can commence. First up: the FCS. I must note that only 107 of the 126 FCS Stadiums were ranked, as it does exclude a few schools that have yet to be visited. Nonetheless, most of the major players are included. Before you visit the rankings I'll just hint that our last FCS appearance on this list is a VERY positive one.
Now, on behalf of Stadium Journey...enjoy the read!

As much as I heard about Wash-Griz I was surprised to see them at #10.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

It really is hard to imagine what the criteria must have been for this ranking. I love the Apps getting some recognition, but it really doesn't make much sense.

this has to be some kind of a joke, UNCC, Coastal, Samford, Wofford ahead of Montana...wow. Would love to know what his criteria was in ranking the stadiums, this makes no sense.

Re: Stadium Journey Ranks All FCS Stadiums
The ranking is the result of the composite FANFARE ratings of each stadium's review on Stadium Journey. In other words, this ranking list (as is the case with all of the annual SJ rankings lists) is simply culled from the final FANFARE average of each stadium reviewed. In this case, that was 107 of the 126 FCS (as of this past season) venues. My KBS review resulted in a 4.3+ rating, while UT-Martin brings up the rear of the 107 stadiums reviewed with a 1.9.moehler wrote:this has to be some kind of a joke, UNCC, Coastal, Samford, Wofford ahead of Montana...wow. Please keep in mind that part of the point of these ratings are to stir discussion, to facilitate talk. If I were the reviewer of all 107 venues then I can promise it would have looked VERY different. I had as many as 8 issues with Top-20 stadiums and issues with as many as 5 of the Bottom-20 stadiums, and a great many in between.
But the fact is this: when you have a team comprised of many reviewers around the country (and globally) who take on how ever many reviews they can per season you are going to get a lot of personal interpretation in the usage of the FANFARE scale. I must tell you that guidelines for the FANFARE scale do exist, fairly comprehensive in fact, in an effort to keep things as "centered" as possible but ultimately what I may view as very important in a stadium might not be as important to one correspondent as it is to me, and vice-versa.
Not to mention the extenuating factors like: weather, opponent on the day the correspondent reviewed the facility, time of day, other nearby sporting events, etc., all of which can have a significant impact on that particular gameday. I say all of this to ultimately say: these rankings are designed to be fun, to make readers want to comment, to voice their opinions, their own ranking lists, to comment on the site under other stadium's reviews, their own stadium's reviews, etc.
