Band in the Endzone

there has been much discussion over the years regarding the location of the seating of the BOD - just wondering how things fared for each of you in relation to where your seats are located ---
For us - we used to be right above the Band on the STATE side and could hear them really well, could hear them Saturday night but not well - We originally moved to the East side back in the early 2000s so we could sit across from them but I have always favored a plan where the entire stadium could enjoy them --- Give your location and feedback ---

Just occasionally could hear them in 206, need some amplification. Pretty sure if you are at the 50 or closer to the field house you hear them pretty well.

I will try this again, I hope the post does not duplicate.

I heard them well from my seat on row B of Section 214. I could only hear them faintly last year even though they played below me. I was a skeptic of the end zone move but I was pleasantly surprised how well I heard them. I even heard them cheer the missed PAT by Montana before the refs signaled the miss. I thought that was pretty cool.

We loved the band in the endzone. We could hear them plus it was great to see the energy in the North stands that was not there last year.

I was in section 205 and could hear them. I like that a large majority of the stadium can hear them now. I still don't like when the band plays and then the music from the sound system comes on over the top of them. Doesn't happen too often though.

I don't like it at all. The band is not loud enough from there IMO.

The BOD sounded great from Section 110. :D :D Thanks Band!
We could not hear them during the games the last couple years. Also cannot hear them in between plays when they play music or commercials over the PA, turn that stuff off please. One thing for the band though, please get rid of those dang purple flags during halftime show. I know it is a written rule somewhere that we don't have Anything purple at The Rock. Keep up the good work BOD!

Could hear them in 205. I thought they sounded great--new Band Director seems to have added more percssion and Brass--I wish they would PLAY MORE BETWEEN PLAYS!! I like the canned music but the BOD should have priority. Would like to see if amplification worked(might get a delay or feedback??)

I liked it... The volume could be increased simply by having them angle their horns toward either side.

All I know is that the band seemed "ready" for this game, both in the musical selection AND spirit. Haven't seen a band into a game like this in a while. Heck, I believe most of them stood up the entire game. We haven't had that happen since Jackson was director...

I am in 215 at the top. I could not hear the band at all last year but I could hear them well Saturday. I really like the new location. At one point during the last Montana drive the BOD was blasting right up until the snap.

I am in Section 205 and could hear the band just fine except when they played the piped in music over them. I can't understand why they can't coordinate that better. And then there was two times where neither played anything for an extended time. The purple flags didn't bother me either. I have seen other college and high school bands use non school colors for flags numerous times. Find with it as long as we aren't playing Western or Furman. Leave the band in the end zone so everyone can enjoy them.

Loved it from the 214! The wife remarked on it from the very beginning. They were both visually and auditorially inviting.

The band was impressive Saturday. Some of the drumline played the parking lot long before the mini-band came through then came through with the mini-band as well. The marching was very crisp and clean - more like mid-season marching than first game. It looks like dedication and discipline are making the rounds for more than just the football team. Yay, band!

The volume will increase when Dr. Richardson has time to "rebuild" the numbers in the BOD
