We had 31,000 at The Rock for Montana and the "big boys" ( ) Carolina at Wake had only 29,500 - APP is the class of the entire state and not only football !!!

Re: Montana attendance
Not to devalue the fact that we beat an ACC game in attendance, but didn't they have an hour rain delay?
Re: Montana attendance
Yes, that is true. But, I bet they still counted tickets sold, regardless of whether they were no shows, anyway. The only thing that would have been dampened by the rain delay was walk up sales. Fact is, more folks watched App play.Gonzo wrote:Not to devalue the fact that we beat an ACC game in attendance, but didn't they have an hour rain delay?

Good point. Didn't realize it was tickets sold. We totally out did them. And the icing on the cake is the fact that the Holes lost.AppAlum1 wrote:Yes, that is true. Re: Montana attendance
How in the world can Wake Forest not break 30K for a home game against UNC? Aside from just the WF fans, Chapel Hill is less than an hour away and I know there are a ton of Tar Heel fans in Winston-Salem.

Re: Montana attendance
No one around here really cares too much about WF football these days. Probably much more about tailgating than football. Much like I feel our fanbase was early last decade.
That combined with small student body equals the lower numbers.

You don't know many Carolina fans do you? They eat cheese, drink wine and talk basketball. Not exactly the type to travel for any football game.asumike83 wrote:How in the world can Wake Forest not break 30K for a home game against UNC? Re: Montana attendance
Actually it was closer to 32K, and it was 100% better of a game to watch, Go Apps!!!
