Re: New Strength Coach
I like the hire based on my cursory googling. SEC experience working with and molding the physique of the biggest kids on the playground. Old school, Olympic style credentials. This isn't a crossfit hack.

Re: New Strength Coach
If he turns out to be good, hope we came up with alittle more money to keep him around longer than a year or 2, this is a really important hire, lost some really good strength coaches in the past, need this position stabilized for the next 5 years.

Re: New Strength Coach
From what I've heard we came up with a pretty good amount. Quite a bit more than Kareem was making if the figures are correct, which we needed to as he has more experience.moehler wrote:If he turns out to be good, hope we came up with alittle more money to keep him around longer than a year or 2, this is a really important hire, lost some really good strength coaches in the past, need this position stabilized for the next 5 years.

Kareem made just north of $81,000. This is not just a football position, but Director of S&C for all 20 sports who has a staff of assistants and student trainers under him.

“I’m not the tallest individual,” Sirignano said. “But I can outwork almost anyone. That’s the kind of demeanor I’ll bring to a program and these players."
sold. if our players can capture half of his personality we will be in the mix for the top of the SBC in 2-3 years.

Re: New Strength Coach
There is mention of his staff, I could not find a listing of others in any news articles. Does anyone know who the others are?
Ok, I see he kept 2 guys from previous staff. I assume there will several grad assistants. A new attitude for new environment.

Re: New Strength Coach
It's hard to figure what's going on there. Lamm said “I can definitely feel a difference, especially with the new strength staff that’s come in," and refers to that new staff as "they" as if there's more than one new person. This job posting went online on Tuesday afternoon of this week. Are they hiring two additional staffers or just getting the paperwork caught up with action already taken? It's a bit confusing.huskie3 wrote:There is mention of his staff, I could not find a listing of others in any news articles. Does anyone know who the others are?
