Stan Goodson I believe his name is. He wore number 3 and was backup to Robbie Price until Price got hurt against Wofford in 1978.

Wow Hap! That's the greatest website since Subserviant Chicken. Thanks!
If only they had JV stats. How about putting them in for me:
7-8 pat (1 blk) 2-2 fg (long 31) 2 touchbacks 1 tackle.
See you in a few months.

May I ask why you waved the D/Q flag at me? I'm old, crippled and I've forgotten what dementia means. Why you pickin' on me, Willis?

It was a joke, but some truth to is, I felt sure you would remember it from the Brakefield era. Do you recall the controversy of the stolen or missing wrist watch? Roscoe was accused of stealing it from one of his team mates. but Roscoe said he was framed. Brakefield allowed the team to vote on whether Batts should be kicked off the team. Unfortunately, Batts lost. Roscoe turned out to be a class act as he has his name on one of the bricks on the Owens Field House wall designating a substantial donation.

I know it was in jest. No prob. :D I did know the answer. I remember Roscoe Batts; and a few of the passes that he threw. I also recall Coach B having some team chemistry problems, but I don't recall the wristwatch caper.

I betcha scatman77 knows the real story. Who knows, Roscoe's probably a member of this forum.
