Glad to see ESPN2 will air the game.

I know there was a lot of discussion about who would broadcast the game, but I was pretty sure ESPN was rumored to be the "brains" behind the rematch. I guess those rumors were true.

App's first game as an FBS school since the division split is on ESPN2. The naysayers were so fond of PBS.

I still can't believe our fan base was so divided about such a no-brainer.

The promised land, boys. The promised land. Milk and honey.

The Southern Conference stepped up for 2014. They are gonna show games on Sinclair stations.

Holy hyperbole, Batman!

This game probably would've been on ESPN2 regardless. It's the rematch of the greatest upset in college football history. Of course, we'll have many more games on ESPN3 and ESPNU but that's not quite college football milk and honey, let's be real, but it's an unquestionable upgrade.

Playing on ESPN anything after years of largely nothing is, quite literally, the "promised land." And I'd like to think our two years of looking for an FBS conference home as our version of wondering the desert for 40 years.

Would that make Charlie Cobb, Moses? IG Greer will be quite unsettled...

Unless I'm forgetting a game that was televised at some point the 2 national TV broadcast regular season games this season match the number of nationally televised regular season games we have had in our entire history. The only 2 that I can remeber are 2007 Wofford and 2008 LSU. I was thinking the 2007 Michigan game, but some people saw the OSU game instead that day. Plus the BTN wasn't available to most people then. We had some regional games on CBS in the 80's and on Sport South but not natonal.

The FBS move is already paying off.

Was the App-WCU game back in the late 70's a southeast regional game on ABC/CBS or national? I was thinking regional but wanted to confirm. I know someone knows the details.

Some comments about the game. UM fans on reddit don't care for the game.

It was cool reading other fans' memories on where they were on that fateful day.

Some of those comments are hilarious too!

GS fan: "Exactly. The football world wins no matter what. I'm personally hoping it plays out almost exactly the same but with sides flipped. The only difference is that as App State kicks what would be the game winning field goal, it gets blocked, Michigan rejoices, forgets the ball is live, and then the ultimate sadness happens as App. State picks it up and runs it in for a touchdown.

UM fan: What part of hell did you come from?"

"App State, you better not f..this up. tOSU, Notre Dame, and MSU are counting on you.
YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE"

OSU fan: "Oh lord god baby Jesus in heaven, please let App State dominate Michigan."
