Someone please, tell these guys how to pronounce our school.

Wonder which one of us was pronouncing it incorrectly (by your standards). Everywhere I've looked indicates two different pronunciations. The difference tends to be where you're from according to what I've seen, though technically both could be considered correct.

I'm of the mindset that it's "App-uh-lay-shun". Jay pronounces it with "latch".

Since the chiding has already been done, I won't pile on. Unless it has changed, the App media guide has a section that informs the media that the only pronunciation acceptable to the university is App-a-latch-un when referring to the school.
