Hey folks - it was a great experience being in Boone and at The Rock for last Saturday's game. Heck yeah we would have liked to win...BAD...but you guys are always standup competition and maybe we can get ya back in playoffs. I know a lot of Griz fans are rooting for both of us to run the table and hopefully draw different brackets in the playoffs. I have a niece at APPY so always keeping an eye out for Mountaineer success (except against the Griz!) :-)

Question I haven't gotten a good answer to is "what is the history behind naming KBS "The Rock"? would love to know that 411 - BTW The Rock does Rock - those of us there for the game were very impressed - we clearly have the two coolest stadiums in FCS and because they are so different they are also unique (your frikkin 3rd down gong/bell pisses me off though :-)

I hope someone can shoot me an answer on the Rock question and you guys go wipe the field with those boys who couldn't get into West Point!

Kidd Brewer Stadium was named after Kidd Brewer in "1988" who was the all time winningest coach in ASU history by percentage. The nick name "The Rock" came from one of our radio announcers about 20 years ago when he pegged it, but it stuck, I cant remember his name. The Villanova coach called "The Rock" the holy grail of FCS football 2 years ago. But Wash-Griz is also impressive. But the name has stuck and ASU has always been hard to beat at home....Hope this helps some...
