WX Trends APP State / MICHIGAN

A brand new year for App State Football. We step into the unknown and forward; I think. We have had a lot of changes, just in the last few months, with the upper management of our Mountaineers. Tough road ahead no doubt, it's going to take some time. Oh it can be done, but will the Appalachian family help weather the rough waters ahead and stick with the program? Time will tell.

Having said that...

Weather trends for Ann Arbor are on the cloudy and possibly stormy side for Saturday's game. Timing of storm systems will be key; as of this post, too early to pin things down. So, I'd look for Partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies, lower to mid 70s for the noon kick and the chance for a few showers and storms.

Things will become a bit more clear by Wednesday. If you have a chance to go... go.... the BIG HOUSE... is a unique place to watch football.

Wow! Just took at look a AccuWeather for Ann Arbor for this Saturday and now they are calling for mostly cloudy with some storms and high of 90. You know, with or added depth, 90 might not be so bad. Those big boys from AA may not be used to the high temps either.

****THURSDAY UPDATE - OBX WX OFFICE****

No major changes for the game forecast. A chance for showers and storms will exist for the day. Temps tweaked a bit, 80 for the kick, mid 80s by the end of the game. Any direct sunlight.... add another 10 degrees or so on how it affects the human body.

From the Mouth of Coach Crum... "You know.. App has the chance to do it again"...

***A note... (Many have asked) We lost mom at the end of February. Complications from the pancreatic cancer fight. 79 years of age, wonderful lady. Saddened but relieved she is done with what was one hell of a fight. 6 months today. The cycle of life. Thank you all, from the extended APP State family, for the thoughts, prayers and well wishes, as that cancer fight got under way and then came to an end.

My mom witnessed many football games in large venues, having been the wife of a head coach, one of her greatest memories was the game day experience at THE ROCK 5 years ago. She was taken back by the crowd, the experience and the facilities. She loved it!
