Depth Chart
I notice Dada is starting over Deuce. Isn't that a change from last week?

Re: Depth Chart
From what I was able to gather during fall camp, it was basically a dead heat. Deuce was limited in camp for about two weeks and that opened the door for Dada. I am sure we will see an even snap count between the two of them.

Re: Depth Chart
Deuce got the first sack if I remember correctly. They both had great games on Saturday. I'm loving the D-line this year.

Ronald Blair had our only sack of the day. Due to the difference in size its clear to see why Deuce would start against Michigan. Dada is super athletic but would struggle when UM went downhill running on us. In the pass game however against smaller olines Dada will be a stud IMO.

Re: Depth Chart
I remember Dada made a great play -- a tackle for loss. It's good to have so many good players on the d-line for a change.

I believe they went towards Deuce on a couple of the big runs.hapapp wrote:Which end did UM seem to find most of their success running against?

Re: Depth Chart
Deuce is a senior and physically impressive, but he's not a DE in a 3-4. Dada is more fit for the position and Nate Woody isn't afraid to serve some youth on the defense.

Can you elaborate on why one is a better fit than the other ---T-Dog wrote:Deuce is a senior and physically impressive, but he's not a DE in a 3-4. Dada is more fit for the position and Nate Woody isn't afraid to serve some youth on the defense.

Re: Depth Chart
Deuce doesn't have the lateral and hip movement to get off blocks for an effective DE in a 3-4 defense. He should either be a TE or gain weight and be a DT in my opinion.WVAPPeer wrote:Can you elaborate on why one is a better fit than the other ---T-Dog wrote:Deuce is a senior and physically impressive, but he's not a DE in a 3-4. Re: Depth Chart
Deuce is actually a protypical 3-4 DE. In a 3-4 the DE does far less pass rush and more a stout run stuffer that can rush the passer. Dada is more a 3-4 OLB as he is far too small to be an effective run stuffer at the FBS level. That said Dada plays big and is a gamer, but as far as fit and scheme Deuce is a far better "fit".T-Dog wrote:Deuce is a senior and physically impressive, but he's not a DE in a 3-4. Re: Depth Chart
I agree that Deuce is more suited to a 4-3 DE - being a senior he won't be changing positions now ---T-Dog wrote:Deuce doesn't have the lateral and hip movement to get off blocks for an effective DE in a 3-4 defense. I pretty sure it is correct. If you are thinking what I'm thinking. Just getting tired of stupid stuff. Grrrrfiremoose wrote:It's taken long enough but have to figure out if one is correct or not.

Re: Depth Chart
Not following what Moose and 89 are saying but I guess I'll find out soon enough.
Didn't Alex Gray get fully cleared to play this week? Have to think he'll be moving onto the depth chart soon.
