Regardless of what side of the argument you were on., this needed to happen. Great chance to heal.

Yes it is about time... no matter which side you are on. Hopefully, they will do something significant and permanent (more than a plaque).

It is great to see, even for us that didn't really have a side. Just hope this will unify the fanbase--even Corey Lynch!

What excuse could App State fans possibly have to not want to attend this game?

The List:

- First ever FBS home game
- First every FBS home conference games
- Honoring the greatest coach in App State history who is nearly universally loved (those who don't love him - really?)
- It's a freakin' home game
- It's in EARLY OCTOBER

This is awesome news.

The only reason we shouldn't break 30k is pouring rain.

Glad to be able to celebrate Coach.

The University needs to do this right, just giving him a plaque at halftime will not cut it, needs to be a first class tribute

I believe the plaque is from the CFL HOF. I am sure the school will do something big in due time.

At some point he needs a statue. My vote is for it to depict him being carried off the field - Michigan would be the obvious choice. The statue should be placed either on the corner of stadium dr and the ticket plaza (may be too crowded with the Rock near by) or at the entrance to the West Side gates.

Good thing I picked this as one of the games we'll drive down from Indianapolis for. :D

Thank goodness...now, let's heal this rift and move on. By the way, I don't know when he is eligible to go into the App HOF, but that will eventually be part of this.

We Love it!! Tooo long between home games though it feels like, but this is awesome = we get to come back up to Boone and tailgate in the fall and our Hall of Fame Coach Jerry Moore and his wife Margaret will be there and we are finally playing a FBS team in Boone and we get to wear Black in section 111 and its a Sunbelt conference game and...Good Lord I can't wait!
Give Em Hell!!

This is great! Give Coach Moore the honor he deserves and heal the rift in the fan base. First FBS opponent at home to boot. Now we just need WXAPP to send us a beautiful day.

Unfortunately I'll be out of town for this. I still think a statue of coach more being carried on the shoulders of his players should be outside the stadium.

With all due respect, that forecast 20+ days out is worthless. On the other hand, that could be the forecast for every day between now and Oct. 4 in our alma mater's High Country home. 8-)
