USM Board

I don't have a Rivals membership. What's the chatter like over there? Are they confident?

Most seem a little overconfident, and not at all impressed by our Campbell victory. They see us as a "get back on track" game after their Alabama loss. Weird hearing them talking about US visiting "The Rock."

the few boards I looked at they seem pretty pessimistic towards the program and the direction its heading, having said that, they still seem to feel they are going to beat us, I guess that's more pride than anything, can't deal with the thought that a first year program could beat them.

That's probably to be expected. I mean, people on here are talking about a blowout win.

I don't know how anyone can make an intelligent prediction on this game, we hardly know anything about our own team, much less SMU, the only thing I can say with confidence is SMU gives up alot of rushing yds, and we run the ball very, very well.

I agree. Our strengths seem like it can exploit their weakness. They move the ball well but have trouble closing the deal.

There's a fair amount of smack talk on Twitter.

We don't know much about ASU's team right now, but if our "D" plays like we did the first 26 minutes at Michigan, we will be just fine.

I expect it will be a very close game that could come down to the wire, much like the Georgia Southern/Ga Tech game did.

Most on the C-USA board are predicting a 1-2 TD win by USM. I'm glad they are so confident.

Fun Fact: They seem to think we are still FCS

(it's down towards the bottom)

Their board is consistent with most fan boards....a couple of morons and number of more realistic posters. Give these guys credit for still being on the board for USM as bad as they've been for the last couple of years. They have at least stuck with their team...I just hope App can increase their depression on Saturday night.

I think you misread it.

App state is a division 1 team. We've only beaten one of those in our last 27 games. It'll be close, but it would be a huge win.

I am very well aware that FCS is also technically division 1. But historically when people use the term D-1, they are referring to what is now the FBS. I wasn't trying to be negative, if you check my posts, you'll see I am one of the more positive posters here lately. But I don't think it is realistic for us to be expecting to "blowout" any FBS team.
