Beating the Stink in front of a national audience would be huge. Since joining the belt, we've experienced more losses (on and off the field) than wins. Last Saturday was a blown opportunity, but we can't let it beat us twice. I think the X factor is Lamb. What a coming of age party it would be if the freshman could lead us to an upset win here. Keep fighting and chopping wood, guys. You will be rewarded eventually.

Our team will be ready for this one. So many of our players are from GA, so it is a homecoming Gabe of sorts for them and they'll likely have family there to watch.

Ready to watch Lamb go HAM in his home state!

In order to beat southern, our boys will need to keep an eye on the ball! Sleep with it this week. Hold it this week. Then knock the man down that has it on Thursday night and take it from them!

I assume southern will come out ready to play. But I also assume our boys will be ready.
Cut out the silly penalties and get the play call in faster!

Couple of notes from the USM game that were great:

Cox ran for a game-high 119 yards on 22 carries (5.4 avg.)
Lamb was 28-of-40 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns and ran eight times for 39 yards.

With that said,
Beat Southern.

I certainly do not intend to give the impression that I know than the coaches (because I definitely do not), but I'd love to see us come out in JET to start the game and keep the pressure on. One of my favorite quotes was from a Panthers coach during the Super Bowl run (he probably took it from somewhere, but it was the first place I heard it), "Pressure: Apply it, don't feel it!" BEAT SOUTHERN!

We learned a great deal about our team last week. Some of it we really didn't want to know. We'll learn even more about our team this week. To say the least, it should be extremely interesting. With some heads-up play and some luck, maybe the MMB will avoid two straight meltdown weekends. Maybe! Image

I think, for me, I saw obvious things that have to but CAN be corrected. I actually think we have a good football team that just needs a break-out game. I don't know how Thursday will turn out but wouldn't be surprised to see App come out and play a great game.

Calm before the storm. Can't overstate the importance of this game! We can't give an inch to these guys, because if we do, they'll take a mile. The impending collision will be intense. Go App
