Towards the very end of ATM today, DJ says there will be another "home and home" football schedule announcement later this afternoon. with an opponent "the Apps have some history with".

So lets start the guessing... while I would love it to be a home-and-home with Wake Forest .... my guess would be Marshall.

While I wish it were Wake or ECU, I'd have to agree with the Marshall guess.

Obviously not Tdog or Big C, but I can confirm that Appalachian State will be scheduling future games in the sport of football. Stay tuned...

My three guesses are Wake, State or ECU.

It seems WFU is the obvious choice. Grobe is gone, and Clawson has experience with App. It makes too much sense, so of course, it may not be WFU.

I hope it's not Georgia Tech, I'm over TO teams. If it isn't Wake, I hope it's Virginia (or Clemson decided to add a return trip after our trip next season).

I don't think it's going to be Marshall unless it's way out in the future. I believe I remember reading where they have everything filled through about 2019.

My guess is an ACC school. If it's one with which we have a history, then it just about has to be Wake.

Any of the teams mentioned here would be a home run IMO. Although I do agree playing GT and the triple option wouldn't be ideal. Of course that's assuming PJ is still there if/when we play them.

Regardless, getting any of those teams in KBS would be massive.

either Wake or Marshall. Maybe Va Tech? Go Apps!

We have no history with Ga Tech. Rumors have been flying that we were lining up an ACC school. In recent times that would either be Wake, State, Clemson, or Va Tech. Of the three Wake seems most logical to me.

I do think a renewal with Marshall would be fun.

Based on the way DJ sort of undersold the tease, I'll throw out some less exciting possibilities just to temper expectations:

FIU/Toledo (Satterfield)
Western Kentucky
UMass

We do have a history with Ga. Tech's coach, though. No idea if that's what he meant, but you could spin it that way.

I guess there are all kinds of possibilities depending on our "history" with the other program.

That's how I took it. We have "history" with Mike London as well, which is why I mentioned Virginia. I've mostly looked at ACC schools based on the rumors of an ACC school. However, it could be ECU, Kansas, WFU, Ball State (Lembo), etc. I'm excited to hear about another home-and-home regardless!

Don't really se an FBS school that plays in front of 50,000 plus fans at home coming to a 25,000 seat stadium. So that leaves pretty much Wake, Duke or Marshall in our general area. Still think it is Wake.
