I am not saying this to start another war. I am just making an observation from my reading of the article, but I get the impression that healing is going to be much more difficult than most of us had hoped.

I had previously read that article and decided not post the link because I was afraid it would start the mess all over again.

Same thing here. We've been over this ad nauseum and to be honest I'm going to just quit if we go over it anymore. Sooner or later both sides have to put the past in the past. Hopefully this weekend will be a start.

I will only add this. He better be at the stadium Saturday. That last line was a bit iffy.

yep, not what we want to hear, hoping the healing process was in full swing, but doesn't appear so, atleast with Moore. I would have never thought he wouldn't be there Sat, but after reading this article, not so sure anymore.

The article says he wants to work. Would it be a bad idea to re-extend the position he was offered in 2012?

I am sure he will be there. I was being a bit silly, but he is still holding a grudge, at least when talking to someone hundreds of miles away and maybe thinking it would not get back to Boone.

I'll refrain from rehashing the things we know from the FOIA emails and only state the answers to the last two questions aren't true. He was in the stadium for senior day to be there with Jackson.
Unless I was dreaming I saw him inside the stadium, did he forget that?

He doesn't want to work, he wants TO COACH.

Jerry, we the fans of Appalachian who had nothing to do with your leaving want to honor you for your service to our school and football program. Don't forget about the 20,000+ fans who packed the stadium for all those years cheering for you and your charges. We don't deserve to be treated the same way you feel you were treated. The new Chancellor and the interim AD have extended the olive branch. The next step is yours.

He'll be there.

This is all I am going to say about this. No one person is bigger than any institution or any entity that gave them an opportunity to improve their lives and in turn pass that good fortune on to others, INCLUDING Jerry Moore.
For a figure to teach and instill maturity, respect and honor into the players he coached, he may want to exhibit some of that himself and again, I'm being nice. Saturday is HIS day. I hope he can show up with a smile and some humility. Go App!

Coach Moore needs a reality check. I think that when he sees former players and 30,000 admirers, he will change his mind.

He needs some serious counseling.
He doesn't see what really happened.
He is a human, he holds grudges, but really????
After all the people and memories, he is holding on to memories that are flat out WRONG.....I am now feeling sorry for him and his family. I am praying he opens his heart to the truth that he had a GREAT ride and he should be thankful to APP STATE and ALL the people that helped make his life so successful, even the ones that told him it was time to go.
Praying

The interview was dated September 20. Was Jerry's event planned by that time?

It was printed on the 20th, but states the interview was the previous weekend, which would have been the 13th. Not sure how far along they were in the process of getting him to agree to Jerry Moore Day. I think this was about the time the ground work was laid.

Sickening that we are still dealing with this...I'm not stirring this steaming cesspool of refuse again, regardless of my feelings about who is at fault. Please, God, let this be over on Saturday.
