Let me see if I get this correctly, if App wins it will be because of the weather, nothing else? Interesting??

After last weekend, i can see that becoming a common excuse amongst the rest of the conference if their team loses in Boone in late October and November. blame the weather, because none of them can prepare for it

That excuse won't work when they lose at home to a visiting APP State.

I love it, the rock is quickly developing a reputation as the toughest place for a visiting team to win a game. Teams are defeated before they even play the game.

I read that piece of tripe this morning. It appears that even sports reporting has been reduced to Op Ed pieces. They conveniently left out the pass interference call that set up their last TD. I am thankful for Tommy Bowman and his objectivity. Off of soap box now.

Exactly. To call those two OPI's on our last possession 'bad calls' is ridiculous. Those were easy calls.

Well, we put the ball down and kicked a game winning field goal to take the game (no slipping) away from ULM. Next up.

I don't really think there is any reason for App fans to get upset over a Louisiana paper describing the loss as "letting it slip away" when the local team appeared to have the win with less than 2 minutes remaining but allowed another score. From their perspective they did let it slip away. We would be saying the same thing. Who cares what spin they put on it?

If you can't blame the weather, got to find some other reason.

Funny, I guess the Referees are expected to have to give an explanation of why a player is ejected after throwing a haymaker at an opponents head. If one of our guys did the same thing I would want him ejected too. Plus, you should be ejected for stupidity as well ... you're gonna throw a punch with your HAND against an opponents HELMET?? Geez ...

"Letting one slip away", Well Lamb has engineered three game winning drives this year (two were lost due to missing field goals and not his fault, one we won). Bottomline is he put us in a position to win. That, my friend is the mark of an outstanding QB. Lamb drove our team to two end of first half TD's in last 3 min of half to retake the lead while ULM ran a three and out in the middle. Who was the more gutsy team? ULM played good defense but somehow the "New to FBS kids" always found out a way to get the job done and get a W.

Let's face it, it will take a few years for everybody to accept that we are a team to reckon with. Until then we will see every excuse under the sun as to why our opponents lose (i.e. weather, they didn't play good that day, had injuries, week after SEC team, week after bye, etc., etc.). I guess we better get used to it.
