Best Win Since Delaware

Unread post by Black Saturday » Sat Nov 15, 2014 6:18 pm

I'll vote for this win over Arkansas State as the BIGGEST win in 7 seasons, since the Delaware win.

Arkansas State has been a very good program over the last 5 years. This win is a big one for the SS regime.

Plus its west of the Mississippi River, where we haven' ever faired well.

Imagine if we could have won a couple off the close ones earlier this season.?

Offense is gelling nicely. Line play is outstanding, Cox is a KR like Beast.
D is getting in the backfield and moving to the ball much better.
Special team are a disaster.
And we are now 1-10 west of the Mississippi!

I'll second that! Monumental game. Got that Mississippi River monkey off our backs, beat the three time defending Sun Belt Champs, winners of two straight bowl games. We've guaranteed that our first Sun Belt season will be no worse than .500. And we won this game despite horrific special teams play and two fumble that could easily have been devastating. those last 3 minutes aside, it was total domination by both our offense and defense. Great to see and so much fun to watch.

Those bandwaggoners that have jumped off too early this season, well, screw you.

this is for sure the best win since our last NC. No way to argue otherwise.

at the time, I would argue that the Montana win was the biggest over Delaware, just because we beat a team that we had never beaten. But yes, THIS game is now the biggest win since either of those two games

Wow, was just checking FBS scores and saw you guys beat Ark State.

Quite a win. Congrats!

Pretty remarkable turnaround since the Liberty loss.

Resounding yes.......you tell me we are -2 in turnovers and give up a special teams TD and beat stAte......I would have you committed. We dominated them. Nowhere near as close as the score would suggest.
Appalachian State, Better than your school since 1899!!!!

Did anyone notice the time of possession stat?

42 min for us and 18 for them. The last time I saw numbers like that was the JMU playoff game.

Pretty class-less. Is that really necessary?

I'm sure some of this statement has to do more with the overall shock a Niner fan came on here and actually congratulated us. Pretty classy on his behalf I must say, given the circumstances and history between our schools.

partly this, but also because i live in the CLT area and have to listen to all the ridiculous spin that is put out about their program right now. so yes, it was my sarcastic jab at UNCc

Wesley beat Charlotte last year and today's loss was their first of the year. They have traditionally been a pretty strong program. It hasn't been that long ago we lost to Liberty. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, there is no reason for us, as fans, to get too cocky.

Isn't Wesley a D2 or NAIA or something?

D3. Just saying, at least this year they beat them. ;)

BTW, Liberty lost tonight at home to Charleston Southern.
