Re: who'd a thunk it???
So should we keep Satt? Some folks on here said this team would get better each week about seven weeks ago, they were right. But no one thought we would go on the road back to back weeks and beat the Co-champs though.

Re: who'd a thunk it???
Well my prediction came true. I said we would win 6 games. I Sure didn't predict it would be the way we did it though. So now I am going to get real brave and say we get 7

Re: who'd a thunk it???
Maybe my rant was the turnaround!!!!! In all honesty I would have never imagined the intensity all around. I especially enjoy satter field finding guys who made great plays and gave the helmet pats.

I'm 59 years old, and followed football for a long time. I've never seen in all my years a team turn things around as much as this team! A complete 180, APPsolutely unbelievable. Go Apps!

Re: who'd a thunk it???
We are where I'd hope we would be (a chance to go 7-5) before the season started. However, I would have never picked the 6 wins we have in a million years.

Re: who'd a thunk it???
Was APPsolutely the case! Unbelievable turn around, makes one think what could have been had this effort from the staff and players been around all season. I give congrats to each for looking internally and changing what needed to change.PBR1893-BEER-HAT-GUY wrote:Maybe my rant was the turnaround!!!!! Re: who'd a thunk it???
If we can get past Idaho (they're probably more capable than people think) and finish with 6 straight wins to finish the season, that will be incredible! Think about the momentum we'll carry into the offseason. 7-5 after starting 1-5. Could easily have been 9-3 in our first season. Six weeks ago I thought this would take years to turn around.

Re: who'd a thunk it???
You can't be serious about the coaches and players not giving it their best from day one. The difference was a few personal changes and then some changes with the scheme once the coaches were comfortable with the young guys. As many of us said back when people thought the sky was falling, we just had to give this bunch time to adjust to college. They did that and much more!App91 wrote:Was APPsolutely the case! Please let your son (and his teammates) know how much we appreciate their effort! They do look like they are having fun!Appmom3186 wrote:I am not one to #hashtag... but I love the teams hashtag...and their fight, desire to win and dedication to eachother....

Agreed. Your son and Smalls are the examples of next man up. Playing at a high level sore and injured but giving their all because they breathe the mantra One Team, One Heart, One Beat. I for one cannot tell you how proud I am of the two of them in the way they have stepped in and played their hearts out.proasu89 wrote:Please let your son (and his teammates) know how much we appreciate their effort! Re: who'd a thunk it???
No JT, It wasn't youth, as I mentioned to you and your dad in the Cook out, Lenoir post ULM. It was not some slight tweeks or someone getting used to college. This was a complete 180, a FUNDEMENTAL change that occurred the Troy week. Don't know what it was but if i could I would bottle and sale.JTApps1 wrote:You can't be serious about the coaches and players not giving it their best from day one. Players playing differently, coaches coaching differently. Cannot recall a more pronounced change in all of sport to equate this to.
