Did anyone notice that we ran a 3-3-5 today? We had Howard, Middleton and Gray in at the same time.

Has anyone noticed that this season before? I have only been able to make 2 games in person and may have missed that watching online.

I noticed and I think I have only seen it maybe one other time this season.

I would think that is our version of a nickel defense. removing the rush OLB and replace with a safety. it was the defense we were in when Doug Middleton broke up the 4th down pass

We did run the 3-3-5 in long yardage situations against Ga State!!! Our front six did a great job of keeping pressure on Idaho's QB. He was constantly throwing on the run. I was impressed with his elusiveness and with his accuracy. I bet his WRs dropped at least 5 passes that hit their hands!!!
