Not bad ... not bad at all. Winning does cure lots of attendance ills. My guess would be that season ticket sales will be a little healthier next year.

That's a strong finish for anyone, but we did that with a thunderstorm game in which the stadium was evacuated, a snow game, and a game on Thanksgiving weekend.

We're a shoe-in for top 3 in the MAC/SBC/CUSA next year given our schedule. Weather and W/L record permitting, we're #1 in 2015.

Noticed ECU was left off that chart, I know they average somewhere in the mid to high 40's. And regarding our number, I have to say the actual attendance numbers do not reflect the reported number unfortunately. Hopefully that's not the case next year.

The chart doesn't show AAC teams.

Pretty sad that N. Illinois has dominated the MAC, and been to a BCS Bowl Game, in the last 5 years, and can only draw 13k. In general, the MAC is just awful in the attendance game.

Have to keep in mind, too, that UTEP and UTSA are "ONLY" drawing that in 2 of the largest cities in Texas.

I would say you might find the poor MAC attendance is due in a large part to them playing several games on Tuesday and Wednesday this year. I hope we never stoop to that level.

How would you feel about Thursday? Very likely KBS will host at least one Thursday night game in 2015 IMO.

Yes the Sunbelt has been playing some games on Thursday. While I don't like this, Tuesday and Wednesday's are worse. All of the MAC weekday games I have seen this year have had less then 1,000 in actual attendance. Its terrible.

As long as it is on Halloween. Don't we average like 80 points on nationally televised home games on Halloween? lol

Great point that 2 of our games were in crappy weather conditions and 1 was played with students away. Can't imagine not averaging well over 25K per game next season. Just to piggyback on the other thread relating to expansion plans. I am not an engineer and have no concept of costs for seating expansion but realistically how much would it cost to add seating in the fieldhouse endzone (similar to what was added as temp seats) and in the grass side? Seems to me that we only need about 3-4K in seating to accomodate our typical crowds and if we can draw 27-30K per home game we will be at or near the top of this list which would be pretty damn impressive. Can't believe the cost would be astronomical.

They do - but so does the Sun Belt...and it didn't seem to affect attendance as drastically. Took a look at their box scores...they had one game over 20k attendance this year, and it was just barely. They played one Tuesday night game (almost every team only plays one of those), and it was 8400. The other 3 home games they had ranged between 11k and 16k...

It has always been tickets sold not butts in seats.

depends on the school. La Tech and UAB supposedly use a turnstile count. Not sure I believe it, but that is what their fans say.

It wasn't an argument just an observation because I was thinking ECU was still CUSA. And this is how you can tell "officially." You hear the reported number of the crowd and then take a look around the stands.

Just as an aside (maybe someone can answer this) I have wondered how we have managed just north of 30K in attendance in KBS a few times- I was even at a few of these game, when the seating is only 24,050? I know that you have to include folks on the grass, those on the other hills, hanging from the trees, etc but have we really had 30K in the stadium? This is awesome but I just couldn't picture 6,000+ people crammed into the nooks and crannies.
