Re: Best venues in FBS
That is one hell of a ranking for The Rock!! We are #14 in FBS. I bet we will continue to rise as The Rock comes back to life.

Re: Best venues in FBS
Nice to get some recognition, but let's be honest; what kind of ranking puts:
Kidd-Brewer > Nebraska's Memorial Stadium
NC State's Carter-Finley > FSU Doak Campbell and Auburn's Jordan-Hare ????????
Boise State's Albertson's > Tiger Stadium at LSU ????????????
Ga Tech Bobby-Dodd > UT Neyland Stadium ??
Memphis Liberty Bowl > Univ. of Oklahoma ???????????????????????
I love Kidd-Brewer on a fall afternoon, but that's one strange ranking IMO.

The only one of the true iconic stadiums I've been to is Ohio Stadium, and it is definitely an experience. Great scene outside, and I remember thinking I didn't really appreciate how big it was until I was inside.

Re: Best venues in FBS
Any list that has the Liberty Bowl as "above average" is not credible! It's old, with low attendance in a bad part of town!MountainMan wrote:Nice to get some recognition, but let's be honest; what kind of ranking puts:

Re: Best venues in FBS
Yeah, this list is a joke. When Williams Brice is the only other SEC in the top 10 besides Bama, you throw all your credibility out the window. WB isn't even in the top 5 in the SEC.
And GSU, App and NC State over Auburn, UGA and LSU is laughable.

I hope this is a joke. Its snide remarks like this that make students choose Auburn, UGA, or LSU over App.

Nice try to troll me, but if the kid is choosing a school based on stadium experience he/she has bigger issues.TheMoody1 wrote:Appersrule wrote:And GSU, App and NC State over Auburn, UGA and LSU is laughable.

No the list isn't a joke obviously and you are free to publish your own.

Can't believe Dowdy-Ficklen was in the top 30. There is no bigger dump to watch a game in the country.

A list with no credibility...hmmmmmmm... Nobody is reading their list or giving anyone pub because of it. You guys really need to get out an see football outside the little bubble that is App State and the occasional shitty ACC game you wander into, you might learn something.fjblair wrote:Appersrule wrote:Yeah, this list is a joke. Re: Best venues in FBS
ECU has made a bunch of improvements over the last couple years and has a $50M press box in the works. I'm honestly a little jealous of their gameday atmosphere/intensity and attendance numbers.IGgreer wrote:Can't believe Dowdy-Ficklen was in the top 30. I always have a blast at ECU, but if we are talking the stadium itself....DUMP.Yosef10 wrote:ECU has made a bunch of improvements over the last couple years and has a $50M press box in the works. Finally! Someone who has been in the real sports world! Please, kind sir, tell us of your journeys to these superior lands so that we might have your wisdom!Appersrule wrote:A list with no credibility...hmmmmmmm... Re: Best venues in FBS
This article lost all credibility with their assertion that the best game day atmosphere in the state of Georgia was in Statesboro. Anyone who has been to Athens, watched Georgia on TV, or met someone one time, who knew someone, who went to UGA knows that the Stink is nowhere close to Athens on gameday.
Still I'm ok with any list that has the Apps above the Iggles.
