I'm sure that most of us would agree that a poll like this one is based on pure speculation- especially when you drop down in the 40's, 50's, etc. Who knows how good/bad/overrated or underrated some teams actually were at year end. I believe that the team we had at year end could have taken a few of the schools ranked ahead of us and we might have had an argument to have cracked the top 70- mid to late 60's possibly. That being said, based on what we project for next season we should be able to at least finish in the top half of the schools and in 2016 (again based on a projected roster) a top 40 should be attainable.

Pretty solid rankings IMO. I basically agree with the top, which is what really matters. At some point you have to look at overall season more than H2H- ULL, for example, is above us because they had a better season overall, despite App blowing them out H2H. And South Alabama had a worse season overall despite crushing us H2H, so they're below us. Makes sense to me.

I don't really think there were 80 teams better than Michigan, but I think the media have enjoyed piling on, and this guy is sort of grading them on a curve.

Once you get past the top few teams I consider the list as more of a general reference point for how you compare amongst all of FBS. I feel pretty good and fair about 73. I look at it from prospective that most had us start season around 120+ and therefore that shows we made huge strides forward. I also feel good that we are in neighborhood with UNC, Miami and others that show we are gaining some respect.

This should also position us well in overall rankings for start of 2015 season.

I wasn't referring to the number listing. I linked an article in the other thread that had all the FBS in a team by team letter grade listing. App was not listed in that but between e-mails and tweets to the writer we were added in the A- listing. That was the ranking I was talking about. But since this was a thread about CBS's number ranking I guess I shouldn't have posted in here.
