Now that the college football season is over, where do we stand on our WR coach hire? Hoping we can get someone with as much fire as Justin Stepp. Stepp was also an incredible recruiter, hopefully the replacement will be as well. GO APPS!

The job wasn't posted on the App website until Dec 22nd. The AFCA convention started Jan 11th and goes until tomorrow. I expect we'll be hearing some news pretty soon.

Way to scoop Moose.
If this gets locked up I would think his experience would get him a nice raise over what we were paying Coach Stepp.

3 years at Chatty, so he's at least familiar with App football

Like the fact that he was the RC at MTSU.

Been watching the sites for a couple of days...just in case
Course nothing is official until it's OFFICIAL but, if true, looks like a solid get. Also the Recruiting Coordinator for them so that could help SS2 out some and also help us some more in TN, KY and others areas that MTSU hits up in addition to being familiar with our usual areas since they hit those also. I'll be watching for more info pop up.

We've been working hard to get commit OL/DL Jonathan Roth in here for a visit. Not his position but sure he's been working him some as the RC. We'll see if he takes a visit in the next two weeks.

Looks like MTSU does the bulk of their recruiting in GA, MS, and AL, with a few from TN, FL and jucos. In other words, he's likely already very familiar with our recruiting footprint.
Also noteworthy to me that we hired a coach away from a decent program in another conference. Most of us were assuming we'd be picking from FCS, grad assistants or out-of-work coaches.

We lost our D grad asst. Greg G. to Wofford - will be their inside linebackers coach.

Solid resume, if he's the guy, I like it.

Gasparato to Wofford is no surprise. I certainly wish him well.
Another GA, Tyler McEntire will be at Va Tech next year.
For the GA's in particular there's much ladder crawling to be done. Best of luck to them both.
