Re: UTC Video Highlights
I was in stitches watching Huesman's interview. He started off with a classic facepalm and it only got better from there. Possibly the most melancholy press conference of all time.

Re: UTC Video Highlights
Holy crap... Price is a man amongst boys out there... I really didn't see that kind of potential out of him last year - he looked lanky and unathletic. I was dead wrong.

Re: UTC Video Highlights
Wow Huesman actually admitted " We got out played and we got out coached." I think UTC would have played much better if they would have left Robinson in at QB versus starting the coaches son.

Huesman is the new Bobby Lamb for giving APP games. We have historically had a tough time containg mobile QBs. Last year, our defense ceushed BJ Coleman, I'd dare say Robinson would have beaten us.
BLACK SATURDAY
Re: UTC Video Highlights
I disagree that Robinson would have beaten us last Saturday. He may be the better QB than their starter but ASU dominated the UTC game. Robinson did play a couple key series late in the first half and did nothing. He only drove the ball down the field against our 2nd team defense at the end of the game (when we were content to play conservative and let the clock run down). Robinson can run but he is not nearly as shifty as the QB's that traditionally give us trouble (like Citadel's QB did). He also cannot pass downfield at all so he can't stretch the field. IMO, ASU won because they were ready to play last Saturday - very much unlike the previous Saturday against El Cid. I don't think the UTC QB choice was a big factor.Black Saturday wrote:Huesman is the new Bobby Lamb for giving APP games. We have historically had a tough time containg mobile QBs. FWIW, I was impressed with our bounce-back win last Saturday. Chattanooga may fall apart after losing to us but they were very dangerous playing at home with their tough D at that stage of the season. Hopefully the Chatt game will be our turning point of the season. We'll see.

Lil Huesman IS a mobile QB and we did a fine job containing him.Black Saturday wrote:BINGO!Deano wrote:Wow Huesman actually admitted " We got out played and we got out coached." I think UTC would have played much better if they would have left Robinson in at QB versus starting the coaches son.

Yup. Up until our game with them, he had a third of their rushing yards on the season. He is definitely a dual threat QB and we contained him well.Gonzo wrote: Lil Huesman IS a mobile QB and we did a fine job containing him.

Re: UTC Video Highlights
Exactly. It was my understanding that Robinson was a better thrower but Huesman was a true "dual threat" QB for Chattanooga.Gonzo wrote:Lil Huesman IS a mobile QB and we did a fine job containing him.Black Saturday wrote:BINGO!Deano wrote:Wow Huesman actually admitted " We got out played and we got out coached."
