Gee, I wonder if they will get all the negative feedback APP got for that ONE Friday night game? ---

No, it is more common now to have the Friday night games. Plus the statement by the State assnt. AD will smooth over any ill feelings.

So if you happen to be a State fan and they are playing Friday night at VT you wouldn't stay home to see the game as compared to going to the high school game? --- UNC claimed for years they would NEVER play a Thursday night game - OOPS ---

I will NEVER support a college game on Friday night. When my kids were in HS I was president of the booster club. I know how hard these kids and parents work to keep their programs a float. I would LOVE to see one of the college games played to an empty stadium.

The only Friday night college games I will attend would be APP (me) or UNC (wife&daughter). I now have the luxury to attend whatever high school game I choose, so I pick the best game in the area.

So basically App was a market leader and thinking outside the box. Remember for App is was not just a regular Friday night game but very unique as it was Friday on Halloween.

Watauga HS scheduled their football game that week for Thursday. Around that time they also had a power outage right before a game and through Mrs Cobb they got the game move to KBS that same night and even did concessions.

It was a special one-time-only circumstance for App State. I hope those same HS coaches who raked App over the coals do the same to the NC ACC schools.

As a college football season ticket (App) holder, I would much rather have a Friday night game than a Thursday or other week night. When my daughter was a high school cheerleader, I didn't miss a game, home or away, all four years. Those with kids involved are unlikely to miss games. I agree, however, that this could undermine support for the high school game, especially if a local college team is playing. I don't often go to high school games now and if App has a home game on Saturday, I don't even think about a HS game, as Friday night is for packing tailgate gear and prepping for our game day...

FWIW, I really hope the stink game is not on a Thursday in Boone this season.

We don't need any week night games to begin with.
Friday HS
Saturday College
Sunday Pro
Above all though Friday belongs to HS and I hope the HS coaches rake any college over the coals who play on Friday night.
