“You’re a little hesitant of getting a real tall kid with that, at least I am, because sometimes they don’t play with great leverage,” Ledford said. “It’s hard for them to play underneath a defensive lineman. But he doesn’t look like he’s 6-9 on the football field. He plays with good pad level, he’s very athletic, he moves extremely well.”
I'm about as far from an OL expert as you can get, but this is the thing I've wondered about Taylor. I wonder if he might be too tall. So this quote is at least encouraging to me. Sounds like the athleticism's there, and I have no worries about our staff's ability to teach him.

No way. He will fit in nicely on the two deep behind Davante Harris who will take over for Kendall Lamm and then will be a dangerous weapon for 3 years.

From what I heard, I thought Nunn was going to move to the left side, with Harris and the Red-shirters battling for the RT spot. Any inside info contradicting would be welcome.

Ledford has said Harris will the have first chance to replace Lamm.

Harris is taking over Lamm's spot, but it's more a case of "throwing something against the wall and hope it sticks" for the time being since he's an upperclassmen. Harris has no guarantees of being the started come September.

As the article says, I think Taylor is likely to redshirt. Raw prospect, plus like most OL, he'll need to bulk up.

What a change of pace to have a strong stable of OL waiting in the wings. Madison Malone, Chandler Greer and Owen Painter have all paid their redshirt dues... All over 6'5" and tremendous upside.

We're in a good place now, at last.
