In theory every game is winnable but I believe he is saying this about Clemson because it would generally be considered not realistic ---

Am I reading this 2015 schedule correctly in that they have the order of the teams that we will play this year but don't have the dates filled in yet ? If so, we have 4 home games in October and 4 road games in November.

Just read the article. Bill C comes across as a stats major/5th year Sr. football player. JK. Agree with everything in article with exception of no mention of coaching being part of last years special team debacle. We ran a punt formation that only placed 7 men on line of scrimmage.(thus ypr avg.) We waited 4 games to replace a kicker with a strong leg and accurate his whole life, but got the yips(psychosis of mind over matter) with a punter who avg. 45 yds. per punt before being called on for double duty kicking.(Double duty kicking jobs pretty much obsolete unless you're D-2or3) A lot to ask of an individual inserted into that position on a 1-4 team. JMO. Otherwise, point on Bill. Great write up. Looking forward to reading more.

Would just like to add one observation about statistical formula used for special team rankings having us last. It's my assumption that most folks in KBS probably hold their collective breaths on Kick return coverage more than any other special teams play, (my assumption = uneducated guess lol) that being said, we ranked higher in both KR categories than national champion Ohio State (14-1) last year. Just something to think about when putting value in all these computer spit out statistical rankings.

Not to dispute your point but five SBC teams had their kicker serve as their punter. It is not that unusual.yosefederation wrote:Just read the article.
