Does anybody know when the official game times will be announced? Trying to do some planning ahead. Thanks, GO APPS!

Schools can announce tentative start times any time, but official kickoff times are announced 12 days before the game because of the TV contract and their ability to move start times.

I believe they will be announced about 10 days before the game. Some were announced earlier than that last year though. I would think the opener should be announced soon, I don't see ESPN jumping on Howard vs App.

I'd say you can count on an 8pm kick off for the Thursday night games.

I'd guess Howard will be 3:30 as there will be no tv. Wyoming will be homecoming with no TV so likely 2:30 (they usually do it earlier for some reason).

Troy will be Halloween so the admin will likely favor an later afternoon game so I'd guess 5 or 6 on ESPN3.

ULL could be anytime, I'd say 3 on ESPN3.

Just guesses.

My guesses.

Howard 6:00
Wyoming 3:30
Georgia Southern 7:30
Troy 3:30
Arkansas State 7:30
UL-Lafayette 2:00

The two Thursday games are going to be 7:30. The only early-season game is likely to be 6:00. Wyoming is likely Homecoming so 3:30 works there. Troy might be later due to Halloween but with only four Saturday home games, they might want to maximize the 3:30 games and UL-Lafayette is on Thanksgiving weekend so 2:00 makes sense.

App State should go ahead and announce all home game times. If they need to be moved for TV, then that's a nice problem to have. Other Sun Belt teams announce home game times and rarely are moved because Sun Belt games aren't highly-sought after.

Found this additional information on the SunBelt website.
A television schedule for the first three weeks of the regular season plus game times for midweek contests will be announced at a later date in June. For games in the fourth week of the season and beyond, networks will be determined 12 days out from the contest.

This really does not help us out that much. Week 1 is Hampton in Boone and that historically has been a 6 PM game. Maybe they will move it to 3:30 to combat the Thursday night games.

Clemson/Acc will set the time for our game with them and week 3 we are on a bye.

We have a new AD who may have a different philosophy as well.

As much as I like night games I would hope we play Howard at 3:30 since we have the 2 Thursday games.
